Ryan Timms to make River Cities debut on Friday

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 21, 2022) – Fifteen-year-old Sprint Car standout Ryan Timms of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will be making his River Cities Speedway debut on Friday night with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints. 

Timms is a highly publicized up-and-comer in the Sprint Car ranks for his ability to wheel a car so successfully at such a young age. Timms has 10 feature wins already this season in three different disciplines - a 360 Sprint, 410 Sprint and a Midget. Four of those wins this season came with the NOSA Sprints - two each at Jackson Motorplex and Huset's Speedway. Combined with his win at Huset's last year, Timms has five career NOSA feature wins to his credit, just running with the series part time. 

At 15 years old, Timms is not yet old enough to compete with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, which mandates drivers must be at least 16 years of age. However, Timms turns 16 on August 26th - the night the World of Outlaw return to River Cities Speedway for their second visit of the season - so this may not be the last time we see the young hotshoe this season.
