By Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (January 11) - It's no secret that 2015 was a banner year for Wade Nygaard. The pilot of the Auto Finance Super Center #9N celebrated his 25th anniversary campaign by picking up his 250th career win at Devils Lake Speedway on May 30th and by season's end, Nygaard scored his eighth NOSA championship. But there was another striking stat from the 2015 season. When Nygaard grabbed his first victory of the year at Buffalo River Race Park on May 24th, that made it 20 consecutive years where the Grand Forks, ND driver had earned a trip to victory lane with the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association. The streak that dates back to 1996, where Nygaard claimed his first NOSA win at the Marshall County Fairgrounds on July 7th, looks to have no end in sight as Nygaard will enter the 2016 season as the series’ defending champion.
The driver with the second longest active winning streak is Mark Dobmeier, who has 16 consecutive years with a NOSA win under his belt.
