Support Class and Format Change The 7th annual John Seitz Memorial Late Model Invitational is rapidly approaching at the highly competitive River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The event, at what’s known as "The Legendary Bullring" is entering its seventh season and will kick off again this year with the new twist that we began in 2011. For the third year in a row on Thursday, September 5th, the event will kick off with the ‘Prelude to the Johnny’. NLRA Late Models will compete in a $1,100 to win program. This event will serve as the 2013 NLRA Championships and will be the final point night for the ’13 NLRA season, which will allow the tour champion to be crowned at River Cities just like the last few seasons. Defending NLRA champions Brad Seng will be looking for his second straight NLRA championship entering the season finale. However, fans will see a different twist to the Thursday night portion of the Seitz Memorial as we will not only run a complete show of NLRA Late Models, but for the first time on the Thursday night program we will run a full program of NOSA Outlaw Sprint Cars as well as a full program of Lightning Sprints. Fans will be treated to a full three division program to kick off the giant weekend. Fans and drivers should note that Thursday night’s car/driver entry fee will just be $50 at the pit gate for Late Model drivers, while pit passes and driver entry fees for the NOSA Sprints and Lightning Sprints will be $30. The racing program will then begin again on Friday, September 6th with action for the WISSOTA Late Models, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Street Stocks and for the first time ever a full program for the WISSOTA Modifieds paying $920 to win. Friday’s program will feature heat races and the $920 to win Go Hard or Go Home pole dash for the Late Models, plus a complete program (heat races, semi-features and feature) for the Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks. Saturday’s program will feature b-features and the 92-lap $9,200 to win feature event for the Late Models plus another complete program for the Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks plus a feature race, with the lineup being inverted from Thursday’s finish, for the NOSA Sprints. More than 50 of the Midwest’s best Late Model competitors from upwards of 5 states and several Canadian provinces, including the six previous champions, (Mitch Johnson, Justin Fegers, Pat Doar, Cody Skytland, Brad Seng and Brady Smith) are all expected to be in attendance to compete for this giant purse and the prestige of winning the John Seitz Memorial! Thursday and Friday’s action will begin at 7pm, with Saturday’s show beginning at 6pm. The event is sponsored in part by Valley Oral & Facial Surgery, Shaw Trucking Inc., S & S Transport, North Dakota Eye Clinic, Northern Plumbing, Turk Enterprises, Wes’ Plumbing & Heating and Steussy Diesel. This event has been ultra-successful over the first six seasons and fans will want to make sure to be in Grand Forks for the seventh running of the event on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 5th, 6th & 7th. Entry fee information for Friday and Saturday is as follows: Late Model drivers will be $200 car/driver for Friday/Saturday. Modified drivers will be $75 car/driver for Friday. Midwest Modified and Street Stock drivers will be $50 car/driver each day and pit passes for all others, including NOSA Sprint drivers will be $30 each day. Tons of contingency awards will be provided in all divisions throughout the course of the weekend by some great sponsors as well.
