Moonshine Mod Tour Debuts Alongside NOSA Sprints & NLRA Late ModelsRacing action continues this Friday night with the annual running of 'Big Motor Mania' which sees the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints and NLRA Late Models joined by A-Modifieds, which this year will appear under the Moonshine Mod Tour banner for the first time at the high-banked quarter-mile 'Bullring'.
The NOSA Sprints will return to the speedway on Friday night on a high, having swept the Wisconsin-based Interstate Racing Association last weekend. Leading the way will be defending series and track champion Mark Dobmeier, who won two of the three races held between River Cities and I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN. Austin Pierce picked up his 50th career win last Saturday night, becoming just the fourth driver in NOSA history to hit the milestone. Jade Hasting will come into the weekend trailing Dobmeier by just four points in the season standings. The NLRA Late Models will also hold their first series race since Sunday at the Fair last month. Tyler Peterson, the winner on that evening in June, is coming off a pair of triumphs with the series at South Dakota's Brown County Speedway last weekend. Dustin Strand will take a three-point lead over Brad Seng into Friday night's competition in the track standings, while two-time and defending series champion Mike Greseth will bring a 44-point advantage in the NLRA standings. Making their debut at the Bullring will be the newly formed Moonshine Mod Tour, which will hold its third race of the week at the Speedway after appearances at Minnesota's Buffalo River Speedway and Norman County Raceway on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. Just like in the Late Model division, Tyler Peterson and Dustin Strand have been the top runners in the Modified class this season at the Bullring, with Strand winning two of the three races held, and Peterson winning the other. Racing is set to begin at 7:00pm on Friday night. Can't make it out? Log on to: RiverCitiesSpeedway.tv
