By Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (July 18) - The night got off to a rocky start for the NOSA Outlaw Sprints as both Wade Nygaard and Mitch Mack took a wild ride off the turn two banking during each of their hot lap sessions. Both drivers were OK and Mack was able to get his car fixed for the feature, but Nygaard called it a night and headed home early. Tim Fuller holds off Tim McCreadie for his 2nd RCS Outlaw win. The 32 car field was trimmed to the fastest 24 for the 50 A-main with Brady Smith and Tim McCreadie leading them to the green. Dustin Strand tops "The Jet" and the Arnesons for a RCS Wissota Modified victory. The Grand Forks, ND driver ran the 50 lap World of Outlaw Late Model feature, then immediately jumped into his Modified where he sat on the pole for the Allstate Peterbuilt Group/Steussy Investments 20 lap event. Darrell Lanigan, the #29 car, took the win Tuesday at Brown County Speedway and is currently leading in points. With local WISSOTA Late Model drivers in attendance, Lanigan will have his work cut out for him and are sure to put on another exciting show for THE BULLRING fans. Shawn Horn, with Crary Homes, will present $100.00 to the local Late Model Hard Charger.
River Cities Speedway is excited to welcome the WISSOTA Modifieds on three different dates in 2014. This Friday will be their first event at THE BULLRING this year. All three events qualify for WISSOTA points. Make sure to mark your calendars for August 22nd and September 5th when they will return to race again. Along with the World of Outlaw Late Models and WISSOTA Modifieds, the NOSA Outlaw Sprints will also be racing this Friday July 18th. Coming into the night, Pierce had not recorded a feature win at River Cities Speedway, but by the time the night was over, he had two to his credit. The defending RCS track champion led all 18 laps and held off Darren Pfau, Rick Hamel, Austin Hunter, and Ryan Schroeder for his third River Cities win of 2014. Mike Anderson collects win number three in his #18 Street Stock. Whether you're in the grandstands or pit side, you can expect to see some of the best drivers from across the WISSOTA region three times this year when the WISSOTA Modifieds invade River Cities Speedway. July 18th will kick off the first night when the World of Outlaw Late Models, NOSA Outlaw Sprints, and the WISSOTA Modifieds all take the track. August 22nd is the next night they will be in attendance along with our Premier Racing Series classes. Friday, September 5th, day one of the 8th Annual Seitz Memorial, will be the third time they will be in attendance. They are sure to put on an impressive show so mark your calendars. All three race nights are WISSOTA points nights. Payout will be available within the next day or so. |
