GRAND FORKS, ND (May 27) – The Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Cars were 26 cars strong for their 25-lap main event. The field was paced by Cory Mack and Trent Stengl, but trouble ensued on the opening lap.

The Up North Financial Late Models got after it at the drop of the green flag as Bill Mooney, Jeff Hapala, and Dustin Strand went three wide into turn one. Mooney and Hapala made contact as Mooney wrestled his way to the lead. Strand followed Mooney and slid into second as Joey Pederson made his way into fourth from his sixth starting position. The Happy Harry’s Midwest Modifieds took the track with Preston Carr and Ricky Hamel leading the field of 22 to the green. Hamel took the lead, but the caution flew on lap three as Carr spun while running in the third position. By Mike Spieker
The Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stocks kicked off feature racing with Chase Boen and Nick Minske on the front row. Boen led the opening lap over Robertson, who started in fourth. On lap two, Robertson maneuvered his way past the Karlstad, MN driver to take the point. Special "Thanks" goes out to Art Baaken for allowing The World Famous Legendary Bullring to honor our military personnel both past and present by providing his spectacular pickup truck as a rolling tribute!

![]() By Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (May 20) - Lance Schill claimed his first Happy Harry’s Midwest Modified feature win at River Cities win since August 8th, 2010. Schill started fifth on the 22-car field and moved past pole sitter, Scott Vasichek, on lap two. From there, the Langdon, ND driver checked out from the field and scored the win by a margin of over five seconds. Nate Reynolds came home in the runner-up position as Gary Nelson, Jr., Reise Stenberg, and Todd Johnson rounded out the top five. The win was Schill’s third Midwest Mod win overall at the Bullring. GRAND FORKS, ND (May 20) - Casey Vargason and Street Stock rookie, Matt Beehler, led the field of 23 to the green flag. After the dust settled and things got sorted out, Travis Robertson grabbed the lead after moving past Tyler Reimer on lap three. Robertson went on to capture his second consecutive win at the 3/10th mile bullring, but it didn’t come uncontested. Racing returns to River Cities Speedway tonight with NOSA Sprints, WISSOTA Late Models, Midwest Modifieds, and Street Stocks! Green flag drops at 7pm.
May 6th 2016 Rick Rea from RickRea.com recorded Mark Dobmeier making an evasive move at The World Famous Legendary Bullring River Cities Speedway to avoid crashing into a Sprint Car that collected the wall but Mark still collided and damaged his wing and then spun 3 times avoiding coming to a complete stop to get his position back. Mark came back to take the win!
Twenty-five Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA 410 Sprint Cars made up the field for the 25-lap main event. The father-son duo of Brenden and Zach Wilde led the field to the green, but third place starter Cory Mack led the opening circuit.
Brent Loftsgard and Robertson led the field of 18 Wells Concrete Street Stocks to the green flag. Robertson put the Tires Plus #10R into the lead at the get go as Bryce Reimer, Dan Aberle, and Loftsgard battled for the runner-up spot. The trio battled three wide, which allowed veteran Street Stock driver, Jim Geringer, to sneak up and steal the third spot away on lap three. Geringer, who started back in seventh, then grabbed the second position on the following circuit and set his sights on Robertson.

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 6th) - The Happy Harry’s WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature commenced with John Halverson and Johnny Thompson on the front row. Thompson got the jump at the green flag to take the point, but on lap three, Todd Johnson came charging up from his fourth place starting position and stole the lead. By Mike Spieker
GRAND FORKS, ND (May 6) - Mike Balcaen is the second-most winningest driver in River Cities Speedway history, but the Canadian pilot hadn’t visited RydellCars.com Victory Lane since June 20, 2014. There has been several instances since then were Balcaen has put his Black Diamond #10 in position to pick up a win, but blown motors, late-race cautions, flat tires, and even a rock puncturing the radiator while leading has kept him out of the winners circle. Great Weather and Great Racing are two things that go together like Cheese on a Cheeseburger with cool beverages with good friends on a summer evening. All of which will be experienced this Friday at The World Famous Legendary Bullring River Cities Speedway. Mid 70's and overcast is the forecast when the green flag drops this Friday at The Bullring. A great time will be had by all that is for sure! This year has started early, very competitive & thrilling leaving everyone wanting more. Last week the WISSOTA NLRA Late Models had a surprise visit from Donny Schatz in his NLRA Late Model and in the heat race Donny had the fastest lap times in the ending laps as you can see by the stats in the image below, but in the last lap with 2 turns to go local NLRA drivers Steve Anderson Jr and Mike Balcaen held 1 and 2 at the finish and Donny Schatz landed 3rd at the line.
