The winner of each feature will be granted a starting spot in the AFCO Race of Champions event at the WISSOTA 100 in Huron, SD in September. On the Sprint Car side of tomorrow night's schedule, Mark Dobmeier will be trying to do something no other driver has done in River Cities Speedway history*. Coming in, Dobmeier has won the last seven consecutive NOSA Sprint Car races at the three-tenths mile bullring, which broke his previous Sprint Car record of six wins in a row and ties him with former Super Stock driver, Jerry Messner, for the overall win streak record. If Dobmeier has one thing on his side, it's momentum. The Grand Forks, ND pilot has won his last five races in a row between River Cities and Badlands Motor Speedway and looks to be peaking at the right time of the season with the Knoxville Nationals coming up in just two weeks. The green flag flies at 7pm sharp. Save $3 per adult by purchasing your ticket at Home of Economy, University Station, Gateway Cenex, StaMart, ElRoco Bottle Shop, or Northdale Oil! Students receive 50% off the ticket price with a valid Student ID. *River Cities Speedway history (1999-present), does not include results from Grand Forks Speedway (1950's-1998) May 6th 2016 Rick Rea from RickRea.com recorded Mark Dobmeier making an evasive move at The World Famous Legendary Bullring River Cities Speedway to avoid crashing into a Sprint Car that collected the wall but Mark still collided and damaged his wing and then spun 3 times avoiding coming to a complete stop to get his position back. GRAND FORKS, ND (July 10) - They say the first win of the season is the hardest to get, but once you get the first, the next ones come easier. Although he's ran up front all season long, Austin Pierce is certainly proving that true. It took the defending series champion until early July to pick up his first win of the season (last Saturday at Greenbush Race Park), but Pierce backed it up Friday night at River Cities Speedway by claiming his second consecutive checkered flag. Friday July 10th 2015 Donny Schatz will be racing with the World of Outlaw Late Models at The World Famous Legendary Bullring River Cities Speedway. |
