Blacklance and Pederson also winners
Grand Forks, N.D. (June 26, 2022) - Another Grand Forks County fair has come and passed, and it was another night of dirt track racing at the Bullring that capped off festivities.
Josh Barker and John Halvorson led the Big Al's Construction Street Stocks to green, with Halvorson taking the point early on in the 20 lap affair. Halvorson was joined by Greg Jose in the second spot until a few cautions a third of the way through the race.
Those cautions, one of which charged to Jose, helped put Blacklance and Tucker Pederson into the conversation for the victory.
With Blacklance up top, and Pederson running the bottom, the pair duked it out for the win at the halfway point. Pederson led the final eight circuits for his second win of the season.
Halvorson, Weston Ramsrud, and Trey Hess completed the top five.

Sprint Feature Postponed
Grand Forks, N.D. (June 10, 2022) - With rain in the area the entire evening, racing was nearly completed Friday night at River Cities Speedway. Dustin Strand and Tucker Pederson picked up their first feature wins of the season at the Bullring, while Lance Schill went back-to-back in the Happy Harry’s Midwest Modifieds.
Strand started third in the Cirrus Aircraft Late Models feature behind front row starters Greg Moore and Jesse Teunis to start the 20 lap race.
Strand passed Teunis in turn four on the fifth circuit, just before the only slow down of the race, a lap seven caution.
The restart saw Lance Schill, who had just won the Midwest Mod feature, take a shot at doubling up on the night, but Strand was able to hold the point.
Strand led through lapped traffic for the remainder of the race to score his first win of the 2022 season.
Brad Seng, Pederson, and Brody Troftgruben completed the top five.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 3, 2022) – Carson Macedo of Lemoore, California started on the pole, and went on to win his first main event at River Cities Speedway Friday night.
Following wins in his heat race and the dash, Macedo trailed early leader Logan Schuchart early on in the 35-lapper. Macedo made the eventual pass for the win on the 11th circuit in lapped traffic.
Two laps later, Schuchart's bid for the win ended early as he rolled in turn two on lap 14 restart. Macedo held off a hard charging Brad Sweet following one final restart with four to go to pick up his first win at The Bullring. Fargo's Donny Schatz, along with James McFadden and David Gravel completed the top five.
The track was fast all night long, as shown by Sheldon Haudenschild's lap in Time Trials. His lap of 9.693 seconds was the fastest elapsed time seen at the speedway since former Outlaw champion Jason Meyers set the track record in August of 2009 at 9.269 seconds.
