GRAND FORKS, ND (August 28) - A field of 27 NOSA Sprint Cars made up the field for the 25 lap A-main to conclude Friday night’s program. GRAND FORKS, ND (August 28) - The opening lap of the Happy Harry’s WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature got off to a rocky start as Jordan Wahl was collected by a car that spun in turn two. Wahl was tagged in the right rear, which forced his #47 to bicycle on the left side wheels and launched him off the banking at full speed. Wahl came to a sudden stop off the track as he nailed the water barrels and sent water flying up about 30 feet in the air. Wahl was OK after the incident, but retired his machine back to the trailer. GRAND FORKS, ND (August 28) - The Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stocks were 17 cars strong for their 15 lap main event. Travis Robertson and Ryan Flaten entered the night second and third in the standings, separated by just one point. Flaten lined up on the pole with Robertson to his outside as Flaten took the lead at the drop of the green flag. Alex Engelstad named as PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night"GRAND FORKS, ND (August 28) – For the second time in 2015, Alex Engelstad parked his Christian Brothers Ford #96A Modified in victory lane.

With it being the annual AFCO Race of Champions qualifying night, the winners of each division would receive an automatic starting spot in the race of champions event during the WISSOTA 100, which is held at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, South Dakota in late September. Also on the docket was the return of the IMCA Modifieds. Local drivers have Due Cast Collectables for sale & free autographed Hero Cards available in pits at their haulers. With his first career Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stock feature win last Friday night at River Cities Speedway, Heath Corneliusen was named the PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night."

GRAND FORKS, ND (July 31) - Although Wade Nygaard has led the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association points standings for the majority of the season, the Grand Forks, ND driver hadn't visited victory lane since May. All that changed for the six-time NOSA champion Friday night at River Cities Speedway, however, as Nygaard drove from 11th to claim his 117th NOSA victory. |
