GRAND FORKS, N.D. (March 4, 2018) – River Cities Speedway’s 20th anniversary season is set to be one of its biggest yet. The legendary bullring has a stout 25-race schedule slated for the 2018 season, featuring the country’s premier touring series to the fan favorite weekly classes.
Friday night racing begins at 7pm. Save $3 on Premier Racing Series tickets all year by getting them in advance at these select businesses: Home of Economy, University Station, Gateway Cenex, StaMart, ElRoco Bottle Shop, and Northdale Oil. Current and former members of the military receive a $5 discount by presenting a Military ID at the gate, while students get in for half price with a student ID.

GRAND FORKS, ND (August 6) - The Premier Racing Series was back in action Friday night at River Cities Speedway, presented by Orchard Oil and LePier Oil Company. A solid field of 92 race teams were signed in among the four divisions. Dustin Strand, Lance Schill, and Ryan Flaten took home the WISSOTA PolyDome Dirt Track Series checkered flags, while Austin Pierce captured the NOSA Sprint Car win. By Mike Spieker
GRAND FORKS, ND (June 10) - Twenty-nine Happy Harry’s Midwest Modifieds were signed in to start the night, but only the fastest 24 cars made the starting lineup for the 20 lap main event. Tim Berg and Jeremy Lizakowski paced the field from the front row as Berg took the initial lead. Berg had his hands full with John Halverson, who looked to his inside on lap one. By Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (June 5) - The Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops Midwest Modifieds were 32 car strong, but a wild B-main trimmed the field down to the fastest 22. Cole Haugland put his Ford on the pole for the 18 lap feature with Todd Johnson lined up to his outside. Despite all the rain this week, the races are still on for Friday, May 15th!

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 1) - Ricky Hamel jumped out to the early lead of the 14 car, 18 lap WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature and never looked back. By lap eight, Hamel had nearly a half lap lead over second place Matt Schow. A caution on the next lap, however, put Schow's #2S right on the rear nurf bar of Hamel. Tyler Peterson Wins By A Margin of only .016 Seconds To Set A New Track Record For Closest Finish Since Electronic Scoring In 2012 Lanigan, World of Outlaw Late Model driver captured the River Cities Speedway track record and World of Outlaw Late Model Dirt Track WORLD RECORD for the closest finish since electronic scoring with a finish of .024 seconds. The was the record until WISSOTA Midwest Modified driver, Tyler Peterson, #1TPO from Hickson, ND broke that record with a .016 second to take the feature win on 05.23.14. Tyler said it will be a race he will never forget. Tyler has been on a roll with wins this season and continues to be a contender at every track he attends.
