The legendary bullring has a stout 25-race schedule slated for the 2018 season, featuring the country’s premier touring series to the fan favorite weekly classes.
Friday night racing begins at 7pm. Save $3 on Premier Racing Series tickets all year by getting them in advance at these select businesses: Home of Economy, University Station, Gateway Cenex, StaMart, ElRoco Bottle Shop, and Northdale Oil. Current and former members of the military receive a $5 discount by presenting a Military ID at the gate, while students get in for half price with a student ID.

GRAND FORKS, ND (August 6) - The Premier Racing Series was back in action Friday night at River Cities Speedway, presented by Orchard Oil and LePier Oil Company. A solid field of 92 race teams were signed in among the four divisions. Dustin Strand, Lance Schill, and Ryan Flaten took home the WISSOTA PolyDome Dirt Track Series checkered flags, while Austin Pierce captured the NOSA Sprint Car win. GRAND FORKS, ND (June 10) - The Up North Financial Late Models were led to the green by Steve Anderson and Dustin Strand. As the field charged into turn one, everybody fought the developing ruts which ended up claiming Brad Seng, who bounced especially hard off the track and lost a drive shaft. Last week the WISSOTA NLRA Late Models had a surprise visit from Donny Schatz in his NLRA Late Model and in the heat race Donny had the fastest lap times in the ending laps as you can see by the stats in the image below, but in the last lap with 2 turns to go local NLRA drivers Steve Anderson Jr and Mike Balcaen held 1 and 2 at the finish and Donny Schatz landed 3rd at the line. GRAND FORKS, ND (April 27) – 222 days…That’s how long us race fans have had to wait for the River Cities Speedway racing season to fire back up since the last checkered flag of 2015 flew back on September 18th. John Halvorson went for a vicious tumble Friday night during the preseason Test N Tune. It was thought that something broke on Halvorson's #35 machine, which got the car out of shape entering turn one and sent it into a nasty barrel roll. Thankfully, John was reported to be uninjured.

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 15) - In a field that consisted of the top three Late Model drivers in last year's 2014 WISSOTA national points, it was the local River Cities Speedway talent that led the way around the high-banked 3/10th mile dirt track. Despite all the rain this week, the races are still on for Friday, May 15th!

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 1) - The WISSOTA Late Model feature was 16 cars strong and set for 20 laps around the Bullring. Steve Anderson and NLRA Rookie of the Year candidate, Robert Bladow, sat on the front row. Anderson got the jump at the green flag on the low side of the speedway, while Bladow tried to make it work up high on the cushion. GRAND FORKS, ND (April 23) - The Northern Outlaw Sprint Association isn't the only series with young talent entering its ranks. The NLRA Late Models will have 19-year-old Robert Bladow joining the tour this year in search of the 2015 NLRA Rookie of the Year title. Bladow began his racing career in the Pure Stock division, where he picked up a feature win at Norman County Raceway in 2012, and has competed in a WISSOTA Midwest Modified/IMCA Sport Mod for the previous two seasons. |
