06.01.18 Halvorson collects Wells Concrete Street Stock victory

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 1, 2018) – John Halvorson claimed the Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Halvorson grabbed the lead on lap two after a three wide race with James Meagher and Chase Boen. Halvorson raced out to a comfortable lead and looked to have the race in hand until the caution flew with two laps to go. 

Meagher and defending track champion, Ryan Johnson, lined up behind Halvorson for the ensuing Evergreen Insurance restart. Johnson wrestled the runner-up position away from Meagher coming to the white flag as Halvorson established a four car length lead.

Halvorson took the checkers over Johnson, Meagher, Boen, and Dan McNamee.

Premier Racing Series action at River Cities Speedway continues next Friday night, featuring the fan-favorite School Bus races. Green flag drops at 7pm.
