GRAND FORKS, ND (June 26) - A stout field of 19 U.S. Legends invaded River Cities Speedway for their first appearance at the Bullring of 2015. Larry Medhurst of Williston, Donavin Wiest of Wishek, and Troy Hoff of Flasher all took preliminary heat race wins. Medhurst and Tony Jagoditsh lined up on the front row and led the field across the North Dakota Eye Clinic starting line to the green flag. 

Steve Kuntz, who traveled all the way from Bismarck to race at RCS, started in the fourth position and took the lead on the opening lap. Once out front, Kuntz never relinquished the point, but it was no cake walk.

In the closing laps, Troy Hoff began closing in on Kuntz and made a serious bid for the lead. Hoff tried to maneuver passed the BFGoodrich #1 on the low side of the speedway, but Kuntz was running a lane and a half off the bottom and continuously got a great run down the straightaways. 

That's all the Kuntz needed to power to the victory. Hoff crossed the line a mere 0.188 seconds back in second and was followed by Wiest, Shane Williams, and Andrew Jochim.
