Tyler Peterson picks up his 6th overall win in 2014
By Mike Spieker
GRAND FORKS, ND (July 11) - Tyler Peterson parked his Performance Auto/Iron Skillet #1TPO in RydellCars.com Victory Lane Friday night at River Cities Speedway. The defending RCS track champion led all 18 laps and held off Darren Pfau, Rick Hamel, Austin Hunter, and Ryan Schroeder for his third River Cities win of 2014.
"The top seemed dominant so I just kept it up there from the beginning," said Peterson after the race. "The car handled perfectly and we checked out form there."
Peterson's win not only gave him the Mid-Season Track Championship title, but ended a month long streak of bad luck.
"That bad luck streak seemed to be never ending, but tonight brought an end to it and I hope we can continue to stay on a roll from here."
The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will have next week off during the World of Outlaw Late Model Special which will also feature the NOSA Outlaw Sprints and WISSOTA Modifieds.
