Donny Schatz picks up his second career Late Model win at River Cities Speedway.

GRAND FORKS, ND (August 16) - One night after finishing in the runner-up position in Friday night's World of Outlaw STP Sprint Car Series A-main, Donny Schatz came back to River Cities Speedway and backed it up with a Wissota NLRA Late Model win on Saturday night.

Mike Balcaen and Friday night's winner, Brad Seng, led the field of 20 Late Models to the green flag for the 25 lap main event. Balcaen beat Seng in the battle to lead the opening lap and continued to lead the majority of the race. Schatz, who started third on the grid, maneuvered passed Seng for second on lap 14 and set his sights on the driver of the Millar Racing Engines #10. Within one lap Schatz had Balcaen in his cross hairs and executed the move that launched the five-time World of Outlaw Sprint Car champion into the lead. Schatz then paced the field for the final 10 laps as he went on to take the win.
