The highly anticipated 8th Annual John Seitz Memorial brings three big nights of racing to The Bullring.

GRAND FORKS, ND (September 2) - The biggest, most prestigious and highest paying Wissota Late Model event highlights three consecutive nights (Sept. 4-6) of AmsOil Dirt Track Series action at River Cities Speedway.

In the 2013 edition of the John Seitz Memorial, Don Shaw started on the pole after his "Go Hard or Go Home" dash victory the previous night, and grabbed the early lead. Shaw's lead was short lived, however, as the three-time Wissota Late Model national champion, Zach Johnson, stole the point on lap nine. Elk Mound, Wisconsins's Anthony Diemel then inherited the lead as he sailed past Johnson on lap 17. Diemel held the top spot for the next 35 circuits around the three-tenths mile bullring, until he was overtaken by the 2011 Seitz Memorial champion, Brad Seng. The Grand Forks, ND driver led the remainder of the 92 lap main event and became the event's first repeat winner. Diemel, Johnson, Jeff Wildung, and Jeff Provinzino rounded out the top five.

Early signs show that Seng just might be favorited to repeat. The driver of the S&S Transport #12 has amassed eight River Cities Speedway victories in 2014, including five of the last six events.
He also holds a commanding lead in the NLRA points race, which will conclude during Thursday night's event.

Last year's program featured 45 of the best Wissota Late Model drivers and the same is to
be expected again this year as S&S Transport, Shaw Trucking, Turk Enterprises, North Dakota Eye Clinic, Wes' Plumbing, and Todd's Electric present the eighth running of the John Seitz Memorial.
