Don Shaw wins the $920 "Go Hard or Go Home" pole dash for the 2nd consecutive year.

GRAND FORKS, ND (September 5) - Don Shaw of Ham Lake, MN put his Blaine Brothers #42s Late Model on the pole for the 92 lap John Seitz Memorial A-main for the second year in a row with his "Go Hard or Go Home" pole dash victory, presented by Turk Enterprises, Friday night at River Cities Speedway

Shaw and Jeff Provinzino separated themselves from the pack at the get go of 20 lap dash, while Jake Redetzke, Steve Laursen, and Pat Doar battled three wide for third. Shaw grabbed the early led, but Provinzino harassed him lap after lap on the low side of the speedway. Nine laps in the two drivers were still running side by side when Provinzino rocketed off the bottom of turn two and held a slight advantage heading into the third turn. Provinzino came around to lead the lap as he looked to drive away from Shaw, but Shaw came back charging back on the high side. They were side by side once again as they completed lap 11, but Shaw's momentum carried him back around Provinzino and into the lead. Once out front, Shaw cruised around the cushion and held off Provinzino for the win. Doar, Redetzkeand, Laursen rounded out the top five.
