GRAND FORKS, ND (September 5) - Jeremy Nelson put his U Motors #4 in RydellCars.com Victory Lane as he topped the stout field of Wissota Modifieds on night #2 of the 2014 John Seitz Memorial at River Cities Speedway.

Nelson started outside Ward Imrie on the front row as the field took the green flag. Imrie jumped out to the early lead, but Nelson quickly chased him down and made a bid for the lead on lap four. Imrie survived the challenge as he ran the middle groove of the racetrack and regained a comfortable lead. With 16 laps to go, Nelson found his groove on the low side and pulled even with Imrie down the back stretch. Nelson cleared the Imrie Demolition #10 coming out of turn four and took control of the race lead. One lap later the caution flag was displayed and put the fierce pack right on Nelson's rear bumper. Imrie's solid effort took a turn for the worse as the race resumed. Imrie was battling three wide for position when he looped his car in turn three. Many drivers took evasive action to avoid the spinning car as the caution waved once again. The green flag waved one more time and Nelson opened up a healthy advantage over Dale Mathison. Nelson ran the remainder of the race uncontested and picked up his first career RCS Modified victory. Mathison held on for second while Jason Thoennes rounded out the podium.
