This week as weeks in the past it's a matter of being in the right place when it counts, as in the case of Joey Pederson (7p) and Brad Seng (12s). This week both Seng and Pederson win their heats and it looked like it was over before it began with Pederson (7p) gaining an early lead. A caution with 3 to go bringing a Green-White-checker finish made all the difference for Seng (12s), as on the restart Seng (12s) used the high side to drive around Pederson (7p) and hold on to the lead as Pederson (7p) made several attempts to regain the lead. This night it was Seng (12s) going to victory lane. Complete Results
NOSA Outlaw Sprints
Dobmeier (13) started on the front row of the A-Main and never looked back, even though there were 13 caution periods across 25 laps of racing with 7 not finishing, and 2 not starting due to terminal failures.
Heat winners were 92 Mitch Mack, 13 Mark Dobmeier, and 27 Chris Renten. 27 cars signed in with Mack (92) and Dobmeier (13) on the front row. The real racing wasn't for the lead it was for positions 2 through 5.
The flurry of caution periods began with Mitch Mack (92) falling out at lap 1, then it was Tee Young (4) and Trent Stengl (7) making contact in turn 2 and both retired with broken cars. We get to lap 16 and Shane Roemling (31) sails off the 4th corner after Bob Martin (10TRB) breaks a rear end and dumps fluid on the track. Cory Mack (25) hung in to lap 20 and also slid off turn 4. The last caution period of the night was Nick Omdahl (0) carefully sailing off corner 2 after getting into the marbles in the cushion bring the car ever so easily down on all 4 wheels.
Checkers fly with Zach Wilde (6) having a major engine failure causing an oil fire coming off turn 4. Bringing out a Red/Checker finish on lap 25. Wilde (6) was unharmed as the field was stopped in turns 3/4.
Mark Dobmeier wins his 100th A-Main at The Legendary Bullring on a tacky track. Wade Nygaard (9n) had some complications at the start of the A-Main but made a great recovery to finish 3rd behind Casey Mack (8).
