GRAND FORKS, ND (July 3) - John Halvorson started in the second row for the WISSOTA Late Model feature and put his Mtn. Dew #35 machine into the lead at the completion of lap one. Halvorson then paced the 15 car field around the 3/10th mile track for the next three circuits until Bill Mooney came flying past on lap four. Mooney led the final 16 laps and checked out on the field to record his second career RCS Late Model victory and first since August 30, 2013.
"It feels awesome," said Mooney after his win. "River Cities is a tough place to win at. We're happy to finally get another win and do it in style with basically leading the whole race."
