Carr Collects Happy Harry's Midwest Mod Win

GRAND FORKS, ND (July 8) - Preston Carr dominated the 20-lap, 22-car Happy Harry’s Midwest Modified main event. Carr started on the pole and beat Jeremy Lizakowski to the line to lead the first lap. 

On lap two, the race was halted as Brocket, ND driver Cole Haugland got upside-down in turn one. It all started when Haugland got hit from behind which turned his #10C machine to the left, forcing Darren Pfau to make heavy contact with him. From there Haugland was hit by three other machines, which sent him up and over onto his lid. Haugland climbed out of his car uninjured.

Once the raced resumed, Carr picked up right where he left off and cruised to his first win of the season at River Cities as Gary Nelson held off Austin Hunter in what was a great battle for second.

The win was Carr's third career at RCS.
