Another close race at The Legendary Bullring, Tyler Peterson in his Iron Skillet, WW Wallwork Truck Center Midwest Modified battled back and forth for the lead with Ryan Schroeder and at the end Tyler Peterson took the with by a margin of only 00:00.201 seconds. 2 tents of second win came on the heals of the last Midwest Modified Feature at the speedway when Tyler won by the ever slim margin of 00:00.013 seconds which is now "The Closest Finish Ever" at The World Famous Legendary Bullring River Cities Speedway since electronic scoring. This very well could be a "World Record Closest Dirt Track Finish" that we are trying to verify. Stay tuned!

Wade Nygaard Claims His 246th Sprint Car Feature Win After Blowing Up His Engine And Uses Smaller 360 Engine To Get The Win at The World Famous Legendary Bullring

Wade Nygard, #9 from Grand Forks, ND blew up his 410 Outlaw Engine in the makeup feature and rushed to put in his smaller backup 360 engine in time to race the heats. He was unable to start in his scheduled heat but was able to get the car to the track to start in the back of the last heat race and then took the checkered flag for the win in the Feature. Wade had over a 4 1/2 second lead over the 2nd place challenger Lou Kennedy Jr

Mother Nature finally gave us a beautiful night to enjoy racing at The World Famous Legendary BullRing Friday night. The fans came out in full force to enjoy Premier Racing and Double Sprint Features. Three heats of WISSOTA Street Stocks were in attendance and Mike Anderson #18, from West Fargo took his second Feature Win this season.

July 19th 2013 | River Cities Speedway | Grand Forks ND

#25 of Cory Mack had the features fastest lap on lap 3 of 12.886 and #13 Mark Dobmeier turned the 2nd fasted lap on lap 18 at a lap speed of 13.129. Dobmeier was able to race by Cory in the later laps of the feature when lapped traffic became part of the picture as well as a late race yellow flag. Congrats to both Mark and Cory and the rest of the field for putting on a great race. River Cities Speedway fans commented on social media this was one of the best Outlaw Sprint Races they have seen at the track... Competition is getting tight, see you next week!

#12F Greg Friestad Midwest Modified Race Car driver from Valley City ND won the Midwest Modified feature at The Bullring and his car appeared to be in prime race form. Greg was close to a mile per hour faster than the second place car of #74W of Dustin Wahl. Greg's fastest lap was on lap 8 with a lap time of 14.399 seconds and a top speed of 75.005 miles per hour.

Grand Forks ND | July 5th 2013: Mark Dobmeier wins in a big way on a heat soaked dry slick race track. The Sprint Car feature was exciting seeing Austin Pierce stay within reach with Dobmeier running very strong until Austin got a little high in turn 2 and ran off the track and had to restart in the rear. Thomas Kennedy was very fast as well and finished 2nd behind mark Dynamite Dobmeier. Click here for full results.

Grand Forks ND | July 5th 2013: Joey Pederson from East Grand Forks MN Lands the Mid Season Championship in the Late Model Division a commanding way! During the track side interview Joey was asked what makes him so much faster this year and he says ever since he bought this new car "It just Works". Joey also did mention that he was not happy with the car and felt it wasn't handling correctly... He was really shocked when we share with him that he was close to 4 tents of a scond faster than any other late model on the track. One must be curious how much faster Joey could be if the car was handling to Joeys satisfaction?

Grand Forks ND June 21st 2013 #4 Cody Darrah from Red Lion PA was so hooked up when the Green Flag dropped for the 40 lap feature Cody actually did a huge wheelie keeping the front wheels way in the air for most of the front stretch of the World Famous Legendary Bullring Dirt Track at River Cities Speedway. Cody raced, drifted and charged his Kasey Kahne Racing SurePont Medical Outlaw Sprint Car to Victory Lane!

Cody is being interviewed by his girlfriend and our very own local girl who raced at River Cities Speedway many times and started her carrier racing dirt go carts right here in Grand Forks and non other and the one and only Natalie "Speed" Sather. It was an emotional night for the couple as this was their first win of the 2013 season and Cody did a tribute lap for Jason Leffler who lost his life recently in a Sprint car racing accident. During his parade lap Cody did some impressive burnouts for the crowd and for Jason! Way to go Cody - very classy! The sold out crowd was on their feet and this World of Outlaw show has been said by many as one of the best Outlaw shows EVER. Legendary!

Grand Forks ND June 21st 2013: Joey Pederson of East Grand Forks MN wins the NLRA Late Model Feature Race in front of a huge crowd during the World of Outlaw Sprint Car race at River Cities Speedway. Dynamite Mark Dobmeier Wins 410 Outlaw Sprint Car Opener at River Cities Speedway With A Borrowed 360 Engine

Grand Forks ND May 17th 2013: #2 Austin Pierce had the fastest 410 Outlaw Sprint car of the night but the Senske & Son Transfer, Sioux Falls Ford, Forx Radiator #13 Outlaw Sprint Car piloted by Mark Dobmeier won the feature in grand style. In the picture below Mark is accompanied by his family in RydellCars.com Victory Lane at The Legendary Bullring at River Cities Speedway. Mark won this 410 Outlaw Sprint Car season opener race at The Legendary Bullring at River Cities Speedway with a borrowed 360 engine. The last race of the 2012 season at The Bullring was also won with a 360 engine by #9N Wade Nygaard who also won the 2012 River Cities Speedway Points Championship. It appears it is safe to say that a well tuned and well built 360 can compete with the 410's at The Legendary Bullring as the last 2 features have been won with 360 engines, but one must mention that they were both veteran Sprint Car Drivers. The fastest car of the night was Outlaw Sprint Car Driver #2 Austin Pierce with a lap time of 11.406 seconds and a top speed of 94.687 Congrats to Mark and his team and family for the season opening feature win at The Bullring!

Joey's new car was close to 3 miles per hour faster than the 2nd place car, it was really hooked up on The Legendary Bullring.
