The Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stocks kicked off feature racing with Chase Boen and Nick Minske on the front row. Boen led the opening lap over Robertson, who started in fourth. On lap two, Robertson maneuvered his way past the Karlstad, MN driver to take the point.
Once out front, Robertson checked out and opened up a full straightaway lead, but the race was far from over. Former track champion, Ryan Johnson found himself in second in the closing lap and was reeling in Robertson. Then with two circuits remaining the left front on Robertson’s machine accrued heavy damage and he was forced to attempt to limp the #10R to the checkers.
Johnson saw blood in the water and got up on the wheel, but Robertson’s advantage was too much to overcome. Robertson got the win, his fourth in seven days, and 11th overall at RCS which ties him for fifth on the Street Stock wins list with Jordan Duray and Johnson.
The damage to the Tires Plus machine was so severe it had to be towed out of RydellCars.com Victory Lane.
