Wells Concrete Street Stock recap, presented by RydellCars.comBy Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (July 31) - James Meagher and Doug VanMill led the 20 car pack of Wells Concrete Street Stocks to the green flag. VanMill grabbed the early advantage, while Jim Geringer, Meagher, and Steven Richards raced three wide for third. ![]() Geringer won the battle as Bryce Reimer and Rick Schulz settled into fourth and fifth on lap three. The race was halted on lap six when Jersy Porter barrel rolled the #11P Streeter down the back stretch. Once the car came to rest, flames started spewing from under the hood. As always the River Cities Speedway Safety Crew was right on the scene to extinguish the flames and help Porter out of the automobile. Porter was unharmed in the incident. On the Evergreen Insurance restart, Geringer looked to the low side of VanMill as they headed into turn one and pulled even with him down the backstretch. The two veteran drivers ran side by side for multiple laps until Geringer slid up in turn two which allowed Richards to sneak by for second, but Geringer regained the spot as they headed into turn three. Schulz moved by Richards with four to go as he and Geringer began to reel in VanMill. Just as they reached the rear bumper of VanMill, however, the checkered flag was displayed and VanMill took the win; his third at RCS.
