GRAND FORKS, ND (August 28) - Nineteen WISSOTA Late Models made up the starting grid for the 20 lap feature. The top two drivers in the point standings, Dustin Strand and Brad Seng, lined up on the front row.
Strand, Seng, and Joey Pederson went three wide for the lead in turn one on the opening lap, but a caution put a halt to the racing and restacked the field. The green flag was displayed once again and Strand beat Seng at the exit of turn two to grab the lead. Pederson briefly moved into second on lap four, but then brought the #7P back to the trailer with mechanical issues. That moved Seng back up to second and last week’s winner, Bill Mooney, into third. With eight to go Mike Balcaen passed his fellow Canadian, Mooney, to take third. The top three stayed the same for the remainder of the event as Strand took his third Late Model win of the season at RCS.
