GRAND FORKS, ND (June 13) - Ryan Cousins and Scott Vasichek led the field of 22 Happy Harry's Bottle Shops Midwest Modifieds to the green flag for their 18 lap A-main. Vasichek grabbed the point over cousins as the field charged into turn one.
Mayville's Dale Kraling was on the charge at the midway point of the race as he caught Vasichek down the back stretch on lap eight and moved into the lead. Kraling was only able to enjoy pacing the field momentarily as the caution flag was displayed on lap nine, which put Vasichek back into the lead.
Kraling battled with Vasichek for the next couple of laps following the Evergreen Insurance restart, but Vasichek nailed the set up and was flying around the Bullring.
Vasichek pulled away from the top five cars and took the victory by a margin of 1.3 seconds.
Kraling came home second, followed by Preston Carr, who had his win streak snapped at two, Jason Strand, and Matt Schow, who rounded out the top five.
The win for Vasichek was his third at River Cities, but first since July 27, 2012.
