June 19 PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night"

Zomer's 2nd place finish lands him this week's PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night" award.

GRAND FORKS, ND (June 19) - Dusty Zomer and the Blazin' Racing team visited River Cities Speedway last Friday night (June 12). The night didn't go as planned for Zomer as he and another competitor made contact during his heat, which resulted in Zomer flipping wildly off of the turn two banking, destroying his Buffalo Wild Wings #82.

Fortunately, last night brought much more success for Zomer. The Sioux Falls, SD driver started on the pole for the 40 lap A-main and led the first three laps over Donny Schatz. The six-time champ snuck by Zomer for the lead, but Zomer hung tough throughout the race. Zomer held off multiple charges from Larson Marks Racing driver, Shane Stewart, and even withstood a five car battle for the runner-up position between himself, Stewart, Sammy Swindell, Paul McMahan, and Joey Saldana. 

Zomer's second place effort landed him a $5,500 payday and the PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night" award.
