Lance Schill Prevails for Happy Harry's Midwest Mod Triumph!

GRAND FORKS, ND (July 1) - The Happy Harry’s Midwest Modifieds feature was led to the green by Matt Schow and Lance Schill.

Schow was looking for his second consecutive midseason track championship title, but Schill grabbed the lead from the outside of the front row. Several cautions plagued the 18 lap affair including a lap two restart where Schill received damage from being spun in turn two. It looked as though Schill’s bad luck at River Cities would continue, but regained his position in front of the field on the restart. Once the race resumed, Schill opened up a comfortable lead despite the damage. After fending off a brief challenge from Todd Johnson at the midpoint of the race, Schill cruised to take the checkered flag over Johnson, with Tim Kanten, Reise Stenberg, John Halverson rounded out the top five.
