GRAND FORKS, ND - September 10, 2013 Two points battles in one class of cars are on the line, and visiting us for the last scheduled race of the 2013 season are the RACEiver Legends, Lightning Sprints, Legend Dirt Modifieds, and Pure Stocks.

The Pure Stocks have been extended an open invitation to race at The Legendary Bullring which should include drivers whose home tracks include Devils Lake, Greenbush, Buffalo River Race Park (Glyndon) and beyond.
This will be the first night of 3 races for the Pure Stocks with the remainder being at Devils Lake Saturday and Sunday.

Outlaw Sprints

This is it... One last night to wrap up both NOSA and RCS track points.
First in track points, in a nutshell... Wade Nygaard pretty much just has to finish the A-Main in 19th or better in the A-Main, and win his heat to get the points required to win the River Cities Speedway regardless who wins the A-main.

On the NOSA side of points, To close the door on any other driver winning the NOSA points title Nygaard would have to place 13th or better and win his heat. You can expect 18+ drivers will do all they can competitively not to let it happen.

Pure Stocks

For the second time in 2013 we welcome back the Pure Stocks.

Here the rules are simple. Run what ya brung. Tires, 8" hoosiers or home track tires. Pretty much anything goes here as long as the car is built safe.

Expect some wild and awesome racing from around the area like Devils Lake ND, Greenbush MN, Glyndon MN, and maybe from North of the Border.

Friday is night 1 of a 3 day series for the Pures, and we have them on Friday at River Cities Speedway.

Legend Dirt Modifieds

Conceived and developed by Ray Evernham legendary NASCAR Crew Chief and Team Owner and Bruton Smith CEO of Speedway Motorsports (Parent Company of US Legend Cars)

This car is being dubbed as the next "entry level race car of tomorrow". They were here during the Grand Forks County Fair and they will be back! Just like the Legends... Some of the most affordable racing on dirt. After the races, or if you are in the pits, Check them out!  Designed so that drivers of every skill level can race them.

Lightning Sprints

Picture
For the 3rd time in 2013 the Northern Lightning Sprint Association makes a return visit to River Cities Speedway. If you have been paying close attention to these guys, they were quicker than the NLRA Late Models in hot laps the last time at The Legendary Bullring.

Another exciting but quick class as again 2 and 3 wide racing is not uncommon with a good amount of passing.

RACEceiver Legends

Picture
Making their second appearance in 2013, The Legends bring a strong car count and rarely do they disappoint. These ultra competitive cars are small, quick and light they run on a 1,250 cc 4 cylinder engine. Being this is a spec. class where every part on the car is identical and comes from only one source.

The driver is the one who makes the difference. It's not uncommon to see 4 and sometimes 5 wide at The Legendary Bullring. On occasion we have seen one take a tumble.

These cars are 5/8 scale of the early NASCAR modifieds. They resemble the 1934, 1937, and 1940 coupes built by Ford, Chevrolet & Dodge. One of the most popular entry level race cars today.

Hot laps are at 6:30 and Racing at 7:30pm
