May 15th PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night": Ryan Flaten

Ryan Flaten picked up the Street Stock win and the PS Garage Doors "Driver of the Night" award.

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 15) - Friday night was a big night for Grand Forks WISSOTA Street Stock driver, Ryan Flaten. 

Flaten was challenged throughout the race by Bryce Reimer and Jim Geringer all race long. With two laps to go, the three drivers ran three wide for the lead, but when the checkered flag flew, Flaten edged out Geringer by a mere three feet at the ND Eye Clinic Finish Line.

Flaten's win was a very popular one among all of the race fans in attendance. Perhaps the coolest part of the victory celebration was Flaten's "victory lap" that he took around the 3/10th mile track with the checkered flag waving out the of window. 

The win was Flaten's 11th career win at RCS, which moves him up to fourth on the Street Stock all-time wins.
