GRAND FORKS, ND (July 22) - The Happy Harry’s Midwest Modified feature came down to Langdon’s Lance Schill and Edinburg’s Nate Reynolds.
Schill started ninth and took the lead away from Reynolds on lap five. Schill went on to lead the remainder of the event, but had to fend off charges from Reynolds all race long. Schill, who was running his first race with his new MB Customs machine, ran the high side of the speedway, while Reynolds ran in the tack down low.
Schill went on to take his 3rd win of the season and fifth overall by a margin of 0.786 seconds over Reynolds, who finished a career-best second. Ricky Hamel, Austin Hunter, and Matt Schow rounded out the top five.
