Blacklance and Pederson also winnersGrand Forks, N.D. (June 26, 2022) - Another Grand Forks County fair has come and passed, and it was another night of dirt track racing at the Bullring that capped off festivities. Josh Barker and John Halvorson led the Big Al's Construction Street Stocks to green, with Halvorson taking the point early on in the 20 lap affair. Halvorson was joined by Greg Jose in the second spot until a few cautions a third of the way through the race. Those cautions, one of which charged to Jose, helped put Blacklance and Tucker Pederson into the conversation for the victory. With Blacklance up top, and Pederson running the bottom, the pair duked it out for the win at the halfway point. Pederson led the final eight circuits for his second win of the season. Halvorson, Weston Ramsrud, and Trey Hess completed the top five. Blacklance made the quick change to his Midwest Mod, and joined Tanner Theis at the front of the following feature.
Blacklance wasted little time building a lead, while Jason Halverson, Justin Olson, and Lance Schill made up a three-car battle for the runner-up spot, as Schill tried to remain unbeaten in the class in 2022. Schill eventually won the battle for second with five to go, but his streak came to an end, as Blacklance won the green-to-checkered affair by nearly six seconds. This time, it was Schill with the runner-up and quick turnaround, as he joined polesitter Brad Seng up front for the 25 lap NLRA feature. The only thing to slow Schill through the halfway point was a pair of cautions, as Seng and Troftgruben completed the podium. Schill continued to lead through a third caution with ten to go as second running Troftgruben and fourth running Dustin Strand made repeated attempts at position improvement while running the bottom in the ensuing laps. A caution with six to go ended a four wide battle with Seng, Troftgruben and both Dustin and Jason Strand. Seng briefly took the lead on the restart, but it was now a top side running Dustin Strand that eventually took the lead as Schill slid off the top of turn two with four to go. Mike Greseth attempted a slide job for the lead on the restart, but Dustin Strand split Greseth and Seng, continuing on to lead the final four laps, and securing his second win of 2022. Seng and tenth starting Joey Pederson completed the podium. Twelfth starter Mike Greseth and Troftgruben rounded out the top five.
