Robertson Takes 2nd Consecutive Wells Concrete Street Stock Feature

GRAND FORKS, ND (May 20) - Casey Vargason and Street Stock rookie, Matt Beehler, led the field of 23 to the green flag. After the dust settled and things got sorted out, Travis Robertson grabbed the lead after moving past Tyler Reimer on lap three. Robertson went on to capture his second consecutive win at the 3/10th mile bullring, but it didn’t come uncontested. 

2013 track champion, Ryan Johnson, drove into the second spot on lap four from his seventh place starting position and put the pressure on Robertson in the closing circuits. With three to go, Johnson showed Robertson his numbers and the two would go on to race door to door for the remainder of the event. As they crossed the Valley Sunrise Properties flagstand, Robertson took the victory by a mere 0.061 seconds.

The win was Robertson’s 10th at RCS, which ties him with Joe Potter for seventh on the Street Stocks wins list.
