GRAND FORKS, ND (July 24) - The Wells Concrete WISSOTA Street Stocks were 19 cars strong for their 15 lap feature.
After multiple attempts to get the race underway, Travis Robertson emerged as the leader at the completion of lap one. Robertson, who started third, showed the way for the entire distance while there was a hornet’s nest behind him battling for second. At the checkers Rich Schulz prevailed to claim the runner-up position. Schulz started as the race’s pole sitter, but slid off the freshly farmed racing surface on the opening lap and was sent to the tail of the field. The final results will show that the Sander’s Metal Products #4S fell back one position, but in actuality Schulz charged through the field, passing 18 cars in the process. Ryan Flaten came home third in his 1955 Chevy Streeter, Ryan Johnson came from 19th to fourth, and Dan McNamee rounded out the top five.
The win was Robertson's fifth of the last six races at RCS and number 13 of the season overall.
