GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 7, 2017) – Ryan Johnson scored his third RCS win of 2017 in the Wells Concrete Street Stocks. Johnson led all 15 laps around the three-tenths mile oval.
Johnson looked to check out from the field in the early going as Dan Aberle followed in second. Nick Minske, Dan McNamee, and Matt Beehler all vie for position in the top five as things got sorted out early on.
With five laps to go, a caution gave Aberle a shot at Johnson, but the Karlstad, Minn. driver was able to fend off Aberle in the final stages to take the win. Dan McNamee, Matt Beehler, and Aaron Blacklance rounded out the top five.
Johnson now holds a somewhat comfortable 36 point lead over Dan Aberle atop the River Cities Speedway Street Stock point standings. Positions three through five are separated by just seven points as Chase Boen, McNamee, and Beehler round out the top five in points, respectively.
