GRAND FORKS, ND (September 16) – This Friday night the dirt will be slingin’ off the high banks of River Cities Speedway for the final time in 2015. The NOSA Outlaw Sprints headline the lineup, which also includes IMCA Modifieds, Lightning Sprints, Legends, and Sling Shots.
2014 Sprint Car track champion, Austin Pierce, looks as though he may become a two-time RCS champ as he brings in a 12 point advantage over Wade Nygaard. A top-10 performance by the driver of the Opp Construction/Lithia Ford #2A should solidify the points title.
The IMCA Modifieds return to the Bullring for the third time this year. The first-ever IMCA Modified event was held earlier this year on June 25th and was won by Alex Engelstad of Beltrami, MN. Rob VanMil won the second IMCA Mod race held in mid-August. The win was VanMil’s first win at RCS since his WISSOTA Mod Four win back in 1999.
Friday night will be the second appearance by the Lightning Sprints. Roland Bernard topped the field of 15 during the Greater Grand Forks Fair earlier this year for his third career RCS win.
Racing kicks off at 7pm!
