Strand Collects Fifth River Cities Speedway Win in a Row

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 12, 2019) – For the fifth consecutive week, Dustin Strand visited RydellCars.com Victory Lane. His first four wins came in his WISSOTA NLRA Late Model, but on Friday, it was in his No. 71 WISSOTA Modified. ​

Strand started on the outside of the front row for the 25-lap main event with Lance Schill to his inside. Strand grabbed the lead on the opening lap as Schill ran a close second. A caution slowed the race four laps in and on the ensuing Evergreen Insurance restart, Rick Delaine was able to sneak underneath Schill for second. 

Schill battled back on the high side to reclaim the spot as Strand quickly put a full straightaway gap between himself and the rest of the field. 

Strand was untouchable as he cruised to the win over Schill and 12th place starter Ward Imrie. Delaine and Doyle Erickson rounded out the top five.
