Strand survives to win Late Model A-Main

GRAND FORKS ND August 2nd 2013 - Dustin Strand can't say the 2013 year hasn't had it's challenges at The Bullring. Strand started 6th in the A-Main and picked his way through the pack avoiding trouble where others couldn't. Zach Naastad and James SanGrait started in the front row and somehow couldn't hold on past lap 8, that's when Strand made his move and took the lead.


Strand shook off a serious challenge for the lead by the 7p of Joey Pederson with 8 to go to win the Late Model A-Main Top 5 finishers were: 1) 71 Strand, 2) 7p Pederson, 3) 12s Seng 4) 2 Bill Mooney 5) 44 Cole Schill.

17z Zach Naastad and 9 Steve Anderson both won their heat races.

The Late Models are back on Friday for the WISSOTA Amsoil Race of Champions Qualifier, also the NLRA Late Model series races Thursday at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN, and Saturday at Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND and race on August 16th with the World of Outlaws Sprints. Great seats are still available!
