Aaron Blacklance Chalks Up Number 4 Grand Forks, ND - 8/9/2013 - By the numbers... There may have only been ONE 4 time A-Main winner so far in the 2013 season but right now Aaron Blacklance (5b) hasn't captured the points lead at The Legendary Bullring. As a matter of fact, there have been TWO other A-Main winners at River Cities Speedway, that being Jordan Duray (81) and Ryan Flaten (50) for a total of THREE A-Main winners in 2013. We could go on with the numbers, but one more fact we should point out that there have been 12 different heat winners in 2013.
Blacklance started his charge for the night in the 1st heat starting in the 5th position and winning his heat and putting him on the outside of the front row of the A-Main. In the 2nd heat, Horace, ND's Rick Schultz (4s) went flag to flag to start in the 8th position. The A-main was all Aaron Blacklance after shaking off several challenges early from Ryan Johnson (25) and Nick Minske (1m) The finish was Blacklance by 4.102 seconds, Schultz 2nd, and 3rd was Johnson. Points have opened up after this week with Ryan Johnson (25) now in the lead, followed by Jordan Duray (81) by 8 points, who were tied last week for the lead. Mike Anderson (8x) who was in 3rd dropped to 6th after taking a night off is 41 points back. Complete Points Next Friday the WISSOTA Streets and Midwest Modifieds are off for the World of Outlaws Sprint show. NLRA Lates will also be on the schedule.
