A jam-packed night of action is set to kick off the holiday weekend on Friday night at the Bullring as the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints conclude the third annual Wayne Anderson Cup while welcoming the Midwest Power Series for a $3,000-to-win main event. The track's regular WISSOTA classes will also see new track champions crowned as their season-long points battles come to an end. Added to an already busy night of racing, the Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprints will also be on hand.
Heading into Friday night, Mark Dobmeier leads the Wayne Anderson cup standings by 18 points over Jack Croaker. Brendan Mullen was the inaugural winner of the Anderson Cup, while Austin Pierce won last season's edition of the event which started in 2021 to honor Wayne Anderson and his many efforts, from being a founding member of the NOSA series, to building River Cities into the nationally known entity that it is today.
A big addition to this year's event will be the debut of the Central Minnesota based Midwest Power Series which will bring with it a $3,000 winners share to Friday night's main event.
Also, on the line will be three track championships as the WISSOTA classes will see their points battles come to an end.
Dustin Strand will head into the evening with a 35-point lead over Brad Seng in hopes for his sixth Cirrus Aircraft Late Model title, and tenth overall at the speedway having won one Super Stock title and three Happy Harry's Midwest Mod crowns.
Speaking of Midwest Mods, Jory Berg has all but wrapped up the title in that class as he has a 63-point lead over Canadian Austin Hunter. The closest battle heading into Friday night will be in Big Al's Construction Street Stock action. WISSOTA national points runner-up Tucker Pederson will have just 18 points separating him and Weston Ramsrud heading into Friday night's feature.
Last, but certainly not least, the Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprints will also be on hand with many travelers on hand as the series will run their second annual Non-Wing Nationals event over the weekend in Devils Lake.
Racing begins at seven on Friday night.
